The Day The Dinosaurs Died - a PBS NOVA episode

In Section 8.5 of the textbook, we learned about asteroid and meteoroid impacts on the Earth, and how they can have significant effects on the evolution of the Earth's life forms.

The long-running science program NOVA aired an episode titled "The Day the Dinosaurs Died" in December of 2017. It describes a project that was undertaken in 2016 to drill core samples from an offshore site in the Gulf of Mexico, a short distance north of Mexico's Yucatan peninsula.

PBS (the Public Broadcasting System) occasionally puts some of their NOVA episodes online for free, and they claim this one will be freely available until December 2020. So, assuming you are able to view the episode through their web interface, here are some questions to answer while you're watching it. The Pause button will probably be a useful tool when you need to pick amongst the choices in a question.
