Module 8 Activity Part 2: Original Model

Now that you've refreshed your memory about isotopes, we can learn a little more about what they have to do with the origin of the Moon.

The questions here in Part 2 of this Activity are about an article that describes two main things:

1. The original 1970s version of the giant-impact model for the Moon's formation, which was based on the first years of analysis of the lunar samples returned by the Apollo missions
2. Analyses of those same moon rocks, along with Earth rocks, that were made in the 21st century, after the analytical equipment had improved.
