Now that you've refreshed your memory about isotopes, we can learn a little more about what they have to do with the origin of the Moon.
The questions here in Part 2 of this Activity are about an article that describes two main things:
- The original 1970s version of the giant-impact model for the Moon's formation, which was based on the first years of analysis of the lunar samples returned by the Apollo missions
- Analyses of those same moon rocks, along with Earth rocks, that were made in the 21st century, after the analytical equipment had improved.
