Course Description
Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. The content focuses on the exploration of major psychological theories and concepts, methods, and research findings in psychology. Topics include the biological bases of behavior, cognition and consciousness, learning, memory, motivation, social psychology, psychological disorders.

Assignments
• Final Project. The purpose of the final project is to discuss a psychological disorder and its treatment showing how biological, social, and cognitive factors impact its development and cause. This will be graded worth 100 points and count toward 20% of the final grade.
• Module Quizzes. There will be 8 Module Quizzes, and these will be open resource to allow you to develop and reinforce your knowledge.
• Discussion Boards. Discussion boards will allow for us to discuss a topic to learn more about each others perspectives, apply knowledge, and develop a sense of community in the classroom.
• Assignments will remain open for the entire session and must be completed no later than the last day of classes.
NOTE: It is your responsibility to check the accuracy of your grade. Multipl-choice assignments submitted on-line are automatically recorded on CANVAS. Check the record on CANVAS immediately after each submission. Submit your assignment via email before the deadline if you encounter technical difficulties with CANVAS.
Late Assignment Policy
All assignments are due by the deadline set in CANVAS. There are no late penalties for assignments turned in by the last day of final exams. There will not be a late penalty applied. Please do email me if you find you are falling behind in the class or need support.
