Welcome to CN-2230- Java Programming for GCSE and A-Level

This MOOC has been developed using funding secured from Google Links to an external site. under its CS4HS Links to an external site. (Computer Science for High School) initiative. The course will prepare you to teach the programming elements of the new  GCSE Links to an external site. and A-level Links to an external site. syllabuses for examination boards in England, UK. Also included are sections to assist you with underlying mathematics concepts, and robotics applications using The Finch Links to an external site., a small robot designed to inspire and engage learners in programming.

 

At the conclusion of the course you will be a competent Java programmer and be in possession of the necessary knowledge and skills to incorporate the course materials into your own work.

 

This MOOC originally commenced on 31st October 2016 and it is designed to be studied over 8 separate weeks. However the MOOC is self paced so you can join and participate at your own convenience and pace at any time. Therefore, the MOOC does not have a set finishing date.
